ABOUT ABLE FIT
Founded by Monique Skelton, AbleFit is a personal training and group fitness provider based on Auckland’s North Shore. We work with people of all fitness levels. From novices to seasoned athletes, new mums, and those needing corrective or functional movement support. Nau mai, haere mai!
Personal Training – Group Fitness – Bootcamps
AbleFit isn’t about chasing aesthetics or quick fixes. Our focus is on helping everyday people (re)build functional strength and move in ways that feel natural, sustainable, and aligned with real life. Training is designed to support how you live so strength carries over into your day-to-day movement, work, whānau life, and adventures. The rest tends to follow naturally.
As a mum herself, Monique understands the challenges of fitting exercise into busy family life. That’s why classes like MāmāFit exist — to help you get moving, build strength, and connect with other mums, without needing childcare. Bring the pram, bring the pēpē — two birds, one stone.
With a background in early childhood and primary education, Monique welcomes your minis into the space. Tamariki are encouraged to move, play, and be present while watching you role-model care for your tinana and wairua. We know how hard it can be to find somewhere for our tamariki while we train.
AbleFit is about strength, movement, and connection — built for real, everyday bodies. We aren’t gym-fit….we are ABLE FIT!
ABOUT ME
Kia Ora!
My name is Monique Skelton. I’m a mama of two crazy under 5’s! I’m a qualified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and hold a Bachelor of Teaching (primary and early childhood). After some time of being in the gym setting, I’m finally branching out and adding my own flavour in the fitness industry. My ‘side’ passion became my full time job and loving every minute!
